We are not lion when we say don't miss this movie! Disney's Jungle Cruise is full of fun adventure that works for all ages. Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson have fantastic chemistry and it's loaded with nods to the famous ride. You will want to watch this movie on repeat. Disney's Jungle Cruise will be on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 16th.

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure filled, rollicking thrill ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila his run-down, but charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate and mankind’s hangs in the balance.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching Disney's Jungle Cruise on Disney+. My children are 10 and 7 and they loved the movie too.  It will keep you laughing. It is full of wild animals, adventure, and love. It is rated PG-13 and it is 127 minutes long.  It was fun to learn that they filmed this movie in Kauai, which is one of my favorite places to visit.

Get ready to watch Disney's Jungle Cruise on Tuesday, November 16th. Let's have a movie watch party at home. I made a few fun recipes inspired by the movie for my family to enjoy while we watch the movie and you can make them too!

Tears Of The Moon Drink:  All you need are some glasses, ice, sliced lemons, and pink lemonade!  This drink is absolutely perfect for the theme of this movie and for the entire family.

Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs:  These are definitely a favorite.  They remind me so much of Bengal BBQ in Disneyland right by the Jungle Cruise ride.  I bought grilled chicken and cooked it on the stove top on medium heat for about 10 minutes.  I chopped up bell peppers and onion and grilled them in the same pan as the chicken and I used skewer sticks and assembled my kabobs.  I used onion, bell peppers, and the chicken.  I placed each skewer on a plate with a scoop of white rice.  I made a simple teriyaki glaze and drizzled it over the top of the rice and kabob.  For the sauce all you need are 4 ingredients: 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup water, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 5 tablespoons of honey.  In a small pot just add the sauce ingredients and cook on medium heat for about 8 stirring occasionally.  After 8 minutes it will be done and you can drizzle it over your plate with rice and the kabob.

Snake Deli Sandwich:  I made simple turkey and cheese deli sandwiches for us all to enjoy and snack on during the movie.  The entire family loved these sandwiches and shaping them into a snake was so easy and fun!  All you need is a baguette, lunch meat, cheese, olives for the eyes for the snake and I used a red bell pepper for the snake tongue.  I bought a baguette and sliced it down the middle and added condiments, lunch meat, cheese, etc to the bottom half.  I put the top half back on and sliced the sandwiches into small slices.  Then I shaped them into a snake.  This was so simple and the kids got such a kick out of it.

Sweet Butter Popcorn: Popcorn is a favorite in our house and you can't watch a movie without it.  Sometimes I like to add fun toppings to change it up.  Tonight we made fun animal print popcorn cones.  Just pick up some animal print paper at a craft store and roll them into a cone shape and you can glue the end closed and add your popcorn.  All you need is a bag of plain popcorn and set it aside in a bowl.  Then add 4 tablespoons of butter, 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of salt to a pot and cook on medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.  Then take it off the stove and drizzle it over the popcorn.  Mix well and serve in your animal print popcorn cones.

All four of these recipes are easy and delicious for the whole family to enjoy.  So pick up Disney's Jungle Cruise on DVD and Blu-Ray now and enjoy a movie watch party at home!
