Black Widow On Disney+ And In Theaters Now

We recently finished watching all of the Marvel movies in chronological order and to say we are fans of the Marvel franchise is an understatement. We are literally obsessed. We have fallen in love with the movies and the characters. There are times when I am crying watching certain scenes and we have become so attached to these amazing movies and super hero characters. Of course one who stood out was Black Widow. She is strong, intelligent, always remains calm, and she is a total super hero everyone can look up to. Black Widow launches simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access now.  We were so excited to be asked to screen Black Widow before it is released to theaters and Disney+ and here is our review...

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina.  The movie is rated PG-13 and is 2 hours and 14 minutes long.

I highly suggest watching all the Marvel movies in chronological order. Black Widow takes place between Captain America Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.  Make sure you watch the entire Black Widow film and do not move from your seats just because credits start rolling.  Marvel is known for their extra scenes during the credits in each of their movies.

As a family we watched every single Marvel movie together.  I don't want to give any spoilers, but I personally thought Black Widow was the most adult/grown up Marvel movie so far.  My kids loved it and some of things that were mentioned in the movie totally went over my kids heads (which I am thankful for).  Every parent knows their own children and how they will react to certain things, whether it be movies, language, violence, etc.  I suggest you watch the movie first before showing it to your children or watch it as a family.  We loved Black Widow.  It is full of action, adventure, family, girl power, but there is definitely violence and some heavy moments.  Overall we were so excited to see Black Widow in her own movie and learn more about her childhood and what made her into the super hero she became.
