My Favorite BINGE-WORTHY TV SHOWS

Boujour!  Christina & Kennedy in Paris.  Blake and I just finished watching Emily in Paris, which was one of my favorite shows we have binged watched lately.  We have watched so many shows over the last year, I wanted to share them with all of you in case you are looking for something new to watch!  This blog post is a long time coming, and I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few shows, but this is a great start if you’re looking for something new to watch!  We usually are traveling so much throughout the year for my work and fun that we never have the time to watch a lot of TV, but boy has that changed since last March.  Here are a list of shows we have watched and I highly recommend.  Let me know if you have a good show that you recommend that I have not watched yet!

As a family we watched the entire series of Full House, so naturally after finishing Full House we had to watch Fuller House. The kids loved it! As the women bond over bottles of wine and a shared affinity for "The Facts of Life," Judy tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it. The dark comedy which explores the weirdly funny sides of grief, loss and forgiveness features a cast that includes TV veterans Christina Applegate and Ed Asner.  You can watch this on Netflix.

Following the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. Set in Shaker Heights, Ohio in the 1990s.  I highly recommend reading the book first.  You can watch this on HULU.

Big Little Lies
Based on the same-titled bestseller by Liane Moriarty, "Big Little Lies" weaves a darkly comedic tale of murder and mischief in the tranquil beachfront town of Monterey, Calif. Amidst doting moms, successful husbands, beautiful children, and stunning homes exists a community fueled by rumors and divided into haves and have-nots, exposing fractured relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, and friends and neighbors. Told through the eyes of three mothers, Madeline, Celeste and Jane, the series' narrative explores society's myths regarding perfection and its romanticization of marriage, sex, parenting and friendship. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley star as the three prominent "mothers of Monterey."  I read the book first and loved it.  I thought season 1 was better than season 2.  It is unlikely there will be a season 3 and you can find this show on HBO.

That is the case for Alexa, who is undergoing cancer treatment while trying to adjust to high school. She maintains her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for life despite her health issues, thanks in part to loyal best friend Katie remaining by her side through it all. Whether they're at school, home or the hospital, the girls are always by each other's side through thick and thin. Also part of Alexa's life is determined and protective mother Lori.  This show is on Netflix.

A modernized reboot of the 1980s primetime soap follows two of America's wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children. Told primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds Fallon Carrington, daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington; and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal, a Hispanic woman marrying into the WASP family "Dynasty" not only features the glitz and gloss of extreme wealth, but also exposes the dark underbelly of a corrupt world built on backroom deals. Confident housewife Katie Otto shares a home with her husband, Jeff, and their three children Taylor, Harrison and Anna-Kat, and while she loves them all dearly, she recognizes they probably aren't going to land themselves in a magazine spread anytime soon.
