Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

These muffins are so easy and they are delicious. They are perfect to eat morning, noon, or night. I love a muffin warmed up with a little bit of butter! Yum! The kids love these muffins too and it is so fun to get them in the kitchen to help bake!

You don't have to add the chocolate chips. You can add nuts instead or add some nuts and chocolate chips!

Ingredients: 5 tablespoons unsalted melted butter, 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, 3 ripe medium mashed bananas, 1 large egg, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup of chocolate chips.

Directions: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin cups with paper liners. Whisk the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, mashed banana, egg, and vanilla until blended. Add the banana mixture to the bowl with dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips or nuts or both. Fill muffin cups. Bake until a toothpick can be inserted and comes out clean. Usually 15-20 minutes.
