Dolittle Movie Premiere

Lions, and tigers and bears, oh my! Today we were invited to the Dolittle movie premiere and after party in LA. All four of us loved the movie. It is a family friendly adventure fantasy movie that kids will love and adults will too. We smiled and laughed and fell in love with all of the animals.  It will be in theaters next Friday, January 17th just in time for the 3 day weekend.  So take the entire family and get ready to embark on a wonderful adventure!

The movie is about Dr. John Dolittle who lives in solitude, behind the high walls of his lush manor in 19th-century England. His only companionship comes from an array of exotic animals that he speaks to on a daily basis. But when young Queen Victoria becomes gravely ill, the eccentric doctor and his furry friends embark on an epic adventure to a mythical island to find the cure.  The movie is full of action, love, friendship, and laughter.

The movie has an incredible voice cast of stars including Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Emma Thompson, Kumail Nanjiani, Octavia Spencer, John Cena, Ralph Fiennes and Selena Gomez providing their voices, and Robert Downey Jr, Harry Collett, Carmel Laniado, Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen as live-action characters.

Selena Gomez was so kind to talk to Kennedy and take a photo with her.

The after party was so much fun.  The food, desserts, and drinks were all amazing!  They had so much for Carter and Kennedy to explore.  There was a treasure hunt, rock climbing, face painting, crafting animal masks or butterfly wings, decorating sugar cookies, catching butterflies, the Dolittle boat to play in and explore and so much more.  My kids had the most amazing time.

I love all of the movie posters for Dolittle.  There is one of Robert Downey Jr. with almost every animal.  At the after party they were giving out plush dolls of the animals from the movie.  Kennedy picked Chee-Chee.  It was her favorite.

Carter picked Yoshi.  It was Carter's favorite character in the movie and mine too!

Look at those smiles.  They had the best time.

Did you know Kennedy's favorite thing on earth is getting her face painted?!

They had this amazing boat that was a replica from the movie that the kids could play on and it was a great photo op!  We loved it.

All around the after party were these animal bush sculptures.  They had them for all of the animals that were in the movie.  They were amazing.

Dolittle is 106 minutes long and comes out next Friday, January 17th. This is the perfect movie to see with the whole family next weekend. Especially since it is a 3 day weekend!
