Troop Beverly Hills What A Thrill!

Her recommendations for a campsite were totally unsuitable. There were no outlets. And there was dirt, and bugs, and it rains there. So anyway, we've found a place that's much more us... The Beverly Hills Hotel!

If you know me very well, you know my favorite favorite favorite movie of all time is Troop Beverly Hills. I remember renting it on VHS so many times at our local rental shop when I was little that the owners finally let me just keep the VHS. I now own it on DVD and we seriously watch it all the time. My kids refer to it as "the cookie movie". I can recite the entire movie by memory and I have always wanted to be Phyllis Nefler for Halloween. Today all my khaki wishes and cookie dreams came true! You will also notice our uniforms did not involve any patches ... we don't need no stinkin' patches!

If you would like to make your own Phyllis Nefler costume, I can give some recommendations to help you out. I found the khaki dress at J Crew. I bought hunter green puff paint and trimmed the edges and pockets of the dress everywhere I could. I found a hunter green belt, a hunter green tie, a cape, a cap, and feathers for the cap. Some great accessories would be binoculars, a box of girl scout cookies, or anything Louis Vuitton.

Not that bad?! Except the color's wrong, the collar's wrong, the material's a nightmare from hell. It's cut badly, it itches, and it's not me. But all of that can be fixed!

I'm sorry we are late. My troop and I were busy describing the fall fashion to the blind.

I may be a beginner at some things, but I have a black belt in shopping!

This costume would not be complete without at least 1 real wilderness girl! If you want to dress your little one to match, you will need a khaki dress, hunter green knee high socks, a hunter green beret, and a hunter green bandana to complete the outfit.
