Disney's MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

Carter and Kennedy love using their imaginations and dressing up. I am so blessed that they play so well together, but costumes can get pricey and sometimes they can be itchy, uncomfortable, or not machine washable.  Little Adventures is a company owned by two mamas. They are so soft, machine washable, not itchy, they use snag resistant fabrics, and my daughter is in love with her Maleficent costume.  I am also doing a giveaway with Little Adventures for $50 store credit!  This is perfect since Halloween is just around the corner!  You can enter the giveaway on my Instagram, click here.

Little Adventures is dedicated to nurturing imagination and magic that lives in young children and I could not agree more. Little Adventures has wonderful boy costumes, princess dresses, magical mermaids, and more. Any of these fun costumes would bring a smile to a child's face. I love that Little Adventures even makes dresses for dolls, so you can buy your child a costume and get a matching doll outfit too. With Fall approaching and Halloween around the corner Little Adventures is your one stop shop, plus they will keep the kids busy with dress up play, using their imagination, and having so much fun.

I made Carter's black crow costume.  It was very easy.  He wore a black shirt, black pants, black socks, black shoes, and I bought a black cape and glued black feathers on the cape that I found at Joann Fabrics.  For the mask, I bought a black mask at Joann Fabrics and glued black feathers all around the mask.  For the nose of the crow that is attached to the mask, I just traced a long thin triangle and folded it in half and glued it on to the mask.  It was super simple to make and Carter loves it.

We recently watched Maleficent and we can't wait for the second one to come out this October. It is so good! If you have not seen the first one I highly recommend it. It is a beautiful story and you find out Maleficent was once a beautiful young woman of pure heart, living a peaceful life in a forest kingdom. When an invading army threatens the land, Maleficent rises up to become its fiercest protector. However, a terrible betrayal hardens her heart and twists her into a creature bent on revenge. She engages in an epic battle with the invading king's successor, then curses his newborn daughter, Aurora - realizing only later that the child holds the key to peace in the kingdom.  Carter is 8 and Kennedy is 5 and they loved this movie.  We are looking very forward to the sequel this fall.

In Maleficent Mistress Of Evil, the years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists. Aurora’s impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds. When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.

The cast includes Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

The movie comes out October 18th, just in time for Halloween. I know what we will be wearing when we see the movie!
