Disney's The Lion King Premiere

Tuesday night I attended the red carpet movie premiere for Disney's The Lion King in Los Angeles at The Dolby Theater. It was my first time attending a red carpet premiere and my first time in The Dolby Theater. It was seriously such an amazing day. My sweet friend Jenny invited me as her guest and I can't thank her enough.

We got to walk the red carpet, meet celebrities, watch celebrities get interviewed, see the movie and go to the after party with the stars. It was a day I will never forget. Seeing the entire cast for The Lion King in person was so cool. Watching Beyonce walk right by me was just crazy.  We were the first people to see the movie and I just thought that was incredible.  I was one of the first 3,400 people to see the movie in The Dolby Theater along with the entire cast of The Lion King and several other celebrities.  It was just insane.

The cast includes Beyonce, Seth Rogan, James Earl Jones, and more. It is truly amazing. Just like in the 1994 film, Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother and former heir to the throne, has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. I can't wait to take the kids to see this movie when it comes out on July 19th!

I won't give too much away about the movie, but I think it stays right along side with the original 1994 animated film.  It is done to perfection.  I loved it.  It is 1 hour and 58 minutes long, so in the words of Scar "Be Prepared" in case you are bringing little ones.  Carter is 7 and Kennedy is 5 and I know they will be just fine.  I can't wait to see it again!

Beyonce walked literally right in front of me.

Ayesha Curry and Stephen Curry walked right by me too!  I wanted to meet Ayesha so bad.  I have her cookbook and I cook so many of her recipes, but I did not get my photo with her.  I have to share my favorite recipe of hers that we literally make all the time.  Click here.

This seriously made my entire night!  We are HUGE Meghan Trainor fans in our house.  We literally jam to her music day and night.  She was so sweet to chat, take photos, and she even did a video message to Carter and Kennedy and sang "Me Too" to the kids.  It was a moment I will never forget!

My friend Ilana

I love Marsai Martin.  She plays Diane on Blackish and is hilarious.  She is also the youngest executive producer ever at 14 for her recent movie Little, was so cute.

The kids love Sky Katz. She is on Raven's Home on the Disney Channel.  We met her at Disney Fan Fest a few weeks ago and she was so sweet with Carter and Kennedy.

These mini peach pies were to die for!

There was even a McDonald's trailer that was handing out Happy Meals with the new Lion King toys!  I was obsessed!

There was even a Dole Whip area

The center pieces were so beautiful
