No holiday season is complete without reading Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We also love the original movie, the one with Jim Carey and the new movie that is out in theaters right now. I really like to try and teach my children lessons from the book and movies. For example, try to always welcome others regardless of their differences and care more about people than things. We love the Grinch and there are so many ways to celebrate with the Grinch this holiday season.
Grinchmas is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood beginning Saturday December 1st. Grinchmas will take place on December 1, 2, 8, 9 and daily from December 14th through December 30th. We go every year and the entire family LOVES it. You can see my blog post for 2017 here and for 2016 here. With a Who-lebration of fun fit for The Grinch, his faithful dog Max and a roster of Who-ville Whos. The annual event comes to life with a towering 60 foot tall whimsical “Grinchmas” tree where Martha May Who-vier and the Who Dolls will take center stage performing energetic musical sets to usher in the Christmas season in style. The Who-liday Singers, a hip boy-band ensemble, will perform a cappella concerts featuring a mix of Christmas favorites and pop rock. We love going to Universal Studios and kicking off the holiday season with Grinchmas. We can't wait to go in December.

Celebrate the holidays and How The Grinch Stole Christmas with these amazing plush dolls from Manhattan Toys. You can easily find a Grinch plush doll, but finding one with a light up heart was impossible until I saw the one from Manhattan Toys. It is high quality, so soft and Carter loves it. I have never seen a Cindy Lou Who doll and with her adorable pink dress and bright red bow, Cindy Lou Who is ready for Christmas. Kennedy was so excited and has been sleeping with it every single night.

We read How The Grinch Stole Christmas and decided to make white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. These are so easy and my kids love them.
Ingredients: 1 bag of pretzel rods, 1 bag of Ghirardelli white melting wafers, assorted sprinkles, green food coloring
Directions: In a microwavable bowl melt the Ghirardelli melting wafers in the microwave. I set my microwave for 20 seconds and check on the wafers and stir and keep microwaving them until the wafers are completely melted and smooth. Next I transfer the melted mixture to a tall glass. I add a few drops of green food coloring and stir. When I am happy with the color green I stick one pretzel rod in the tall glass and when I pull it out I make sure to let the excess drip off back into the glass. Sprinkle immediately over a different bowl so the extra sprinkles have somewhere to go and be reused as I go. Lay the pretzel rod on a backing sheet with waxed paper and continue to decorate your pretzel rods and when you are done stick them in the fridge to harden for at least an hour.
Pour the wafers into a microwavable bowl
After you have melted the wafers pour the mixture into a tall cup
I added green food coloring to make it festive
Mix the food coloring well
Just dip your pretzel stick into the tall cup
Let the excess drip off
Sprinkle immediately over a bowl
Place on a baking sheet
Kennedy's turn
Carter's turn
Place in the fridge for at least 1 hour
They turned out so good!
