This past Saturday I turned 29. Thank you to everyone who called, left voice mails, text messages, sang to me, sent birthday gifts and wonderful cards. Blake and I celebrated by going to Aptos and staying at the beach house for the weekend. It was very low key, but Blake did surprise me on Saturday with a trip to the Casa Palmero spa at Pebble Beach. It is my favorite spa and it was such a nice way to spend the day with Blake. Of course any weekend in Aptos would not be complete without a trip to Gayle’s Bakery, so on Sunday we went to Gayle’s to have lunch and strawberry delight cake (my favorite cake in the whole wide world). I quickly started to realize this is my last year in my 20’s and to be honest, I am a little scared of turning the big 3-0 next year. Not because I will be 30 and getting older, but because so many wonderful things have happened to me in my 20’s that I am hoping and praying my 30’s will be just as amazing… or better! The past nine years have been filled with lots of great memories: I graduated college, I married my high school sweetheart (my best friend and the absolute love of my life), I became an auntie 4 times to the most beautiful children I have ever laid eyes on, I moved to Fresno and bought a home that I love, I celebrated at too many weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, concerts, bachelorette parties, and engagement parties, I met so many celebrities, and basically traveled around the world. I did not even own a passport until I was in my 20’s and Blake and I started traveling internationally. It has been so much fun and I feel so blessed for everything that I have been able to experience. I am looking forward to this last year in my 20’s and making it a year to remember.
